Do you feel that life is getting on top of you?
Due to the COVID-19 situation and the current lockdown, I now run all my sessions via Zoom. Therapy online is a good alternative to meeting in person, providing greater flexibility as well as being convenient and safe. There is the option to stay online or move on to sessions in person when restrictions are eased. If you are interested in starting counselling or psychotherapy, please contact me to schedule a 20 minutes free phone consultation before booking.
Is this second lockdown making you feel uneasy about how to cope? Read my interview for the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and their magazine 'The Link' on how to cope with uncertainty. Just Click here to read.
Do you feel anxious or sad but not sure why sometimes? Maybe you feel overwhelmed by life or stuck in an old pattern. Do you find it difficult to change this pattern and wonder why?
Perhaps talking about it could help?
In exploring your thoughts and feelings with a professional counsellor and psychotherapist, easing the way forward could be possible.
What once started out as helping people from the Swedish community to feel settled and adjusted in their move to the UK, has now expanded to providing safe, confidential psychotherapy and counselling on a wide range of difficulties for all nationalities.
I work with adult individuals, providing ongoing weekly in-depth psychotherapy in West London. I also practice weekly counselling, which is shorter and last for an agreed time period only. I will listen with empathy and provide guidance with the aim of enabling you to live your life more fully. I believe that the relationship between the client and therapist is important and we will move at a pace that feels right for you. When you are ready to move forward, you will have my support.
Stress, anxiety & depression
Everyone experiences stress and anxiety at times. Some stress and anxiety are part of normal life and can help you overcome a challenge as well as making you survive a dangerous situation...
The wish to have meaningful connections to other people is a fundamental human desire. However, in today’s busy and fast-moving society many are struggling with that...
How I can help
When you feel under stress, or experiencing emotional problems it can help talking to a professional. Psychotherapy and counselling helps you dealing with emotional issues...
My approach as a counsellor and psychotherapist is Psychodynamic, drawing from the unconscious processes of the psyche along with looking at how patterns in our past behaviours may influence the way we act in the present. Many factors from our varying experiences as children can form how we choose to deal with challenges and situations we are faced with as adults. The goals of my practise is to develop a client’s self-awareness and to provide clarity as to why we feel and behave the way we do.
Together, we will explore and make sense of thoughts and feelings that have occurred throughout different periods of life. With our interpretation of these, many links can be made to piece together understanding of particular issues you have encountered or are currently facing. With an enhanced understanding, the way forward will be made easier. Through increased self-awareness and insight, you are in a better position to make closer and more authentic relationships with others, whilst increasing your self-esteem as a result.
